Hello everyone! I decided to split up my reviews into two posts. One will be completely spoiler free while another one will have my spoilery opinion! This one will be spoiler free, so no need to avoid unless you don’t care….. then you can ignore this one.
Here’s the synopsis before we start:
It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: Lego Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.
Animation
I liked the animation! It isn’t ground breaking like Spiderverse, but I did like it! The scenes and characters are vibrant and unique. My favorite character to watch move and interact with everything was Queen Watevra Wa’Nabi.
Characters
I love all the characters! Well, I don’t love all the characters, but I don’t hate anyone. My favorite character is still Emmet (played by Chris Pratt) and all of the raptors! The raptors are the best part. The raptors!
Plot
I enjoyed the plot especially the beginning of it. It made me feel more emotions than it had any right to. Nothing I hated about the plot, but I did enjoy the first one’s plot better. I did like that it didn’t have a love triangle, even though it wasn’t that bad of a love triangle in the first one, and I identify with the themes more.
Wrapping it up
This film has great characters, wonderful animation, hilarious jokes, and a smooth plot. I would say it is definitely worth the price of admission! Don’t have time to watch a full length movie? I have a suggestion for you too! I’ve recently watched a Pixar short called Kitbull and it’s adorable! I might do a mini review on it or not. I don’t know. You should watch them both if you can!
