Onto the review!!!
Synopsis
It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: Lego Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.
Animation
Not much to say about the animation that wasn’t said in the non-spoiler review, but there is a bit more to say.
Anyways.
I liked the animation! It isn’t ground breaking like Spiderverse, but I did like it! The scenes and characters are vibrant and unique.
My favorite character to watch move and interact with everything was Queen Watevra Wa’Nabi. My favorite scenes were actually when the characters were in the real world. Don’t know if that counts as animation, but I don’t care! I do what I want!
If you forced me to pick my favorite scene, it would have to be the scene under the washing machine when Emmet and Rex face off.
Characters
Emmet (voiced by Chris Pratt) is still an awesome character! He is light hearted as always even in the end when the Ourmamageddon as started and he’s all alone. He refuses to become cold even during Ourmamageddon. I really like Emmet!
I also liked Lucy (voiced by Elizabeth Bankswho) super happy she got more screen time! Batman (voiced by Will Arnett) was hilarious as ever! I wish Benny (voiced by Charlie Day) got more screen time because Benny is the best!
Also, the raptors. The sheer fabulousness of the raptors is to much to put into words.
Plot
The plot is divided into two POVs (point of view).
One is Lucys as she is kidnapped and brought to many different planets while the other is from Emmet’s view as he flies through the galaxy to save her!
Lucy’s party, of a sorts, is made up of Batman, Benny, Unikitty, and Metal beard. Emmet’s party was made up of Rex (voiced also by Chris Pratt) and all of the raptors!
The raptors, man.
I enjoyed the plot and it was nicely divided between the two POVs. Usually when theres more then one POV in a story, I prefer one of the other, but not this time. I loved them both equally!
I also enjoyed the end and all of the music! I don’t have a favorite song from the soundtrack yet, but once I do I will play it on repeat until I can’t stand the sound of it.
